DownloadSTEM Sista and STEM Mista are highly-acclaimed and award-winning mentoring programs for young women and men in high school. The programs are designed to empower them to continue to study STEM subjects, instil fundamental success principles, build resilience, and effectively set them up for a life of tremendous accomplishment.
Why are these programs important?
We live in a world where interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and networking all play a crucial role in a successful career and overall quality of life. We cover financial literacy, emotional quotient, personality profiling, personal presentation, and much more.
We place keen emphasis on both informing our students of career options available in today’s society, and the process of how to successfully attain their ideal career. Additionally, we also teach workplace efficacy, cooperation, goal setting, project coordination, and a multitude of other crucial workplace skills.
STEM Sista helped me define a career pathway. I hadn't seen a lot of females in the field I want to be in so it was really useful, exciting, and inspirational to talk to so many female professionals about their experiences and how they got to where they are."
